Crete, SAVE project, NESOI

Feasibility study within the European Facility NESOI for the development of a wind farm in Crete where the energy will be absorbed by decentralized storage devices and fed back into the grid during peak demand periods, replacing the production of thermal generators. Two sports facilities owned and operated by the municipality will be involved as prosumers in the smart grid. The stored electricity, combined with electricity production from PV, will lead to annual compensation of their electricity consumption, resulting to zero-energy facilities.
