Economic valorisation of the forest resources of the Pistoia mountains to provide a concrete contribution to local development, overcoming the problem of land parcelling, reducing the negative impacts of human activities and activating sustainable production chains. Once the possible valorization scenarios and related governance models have been identified, the viable development process has been defined. The project, which includes support for the application for the regional tender for the promotion of associative forms of forest management, ranked first in the ranking, obtaining resources of 50,000 euros. The initiative is supported by the Fondazione Caript.
Results
Thanks to the support of the Fondazione Caript and the work carried out with the Union of Municipalities, a shared vision of the territories was defined which then materialized in the preparation of the candidacy for the Tuscany Region's tender "Aid for the promotion of associative forms of forest management". The project was awarded €50,000 which will finance the development and valorisation process designed.
