Feasibility study of a new city logistics model for the distribution of B2B goods in the historical centre of Udine (ZTL area). The intervention envisages the technical-legal and economic evaluation of a new city logistics system in the ZTL area, aimed at rationalising goods distribution flows. The activities include discussions with reference stakeholders, analysis of the regulatory and legal context, study of best practices, elaboration of different governance scenarios and hypotheses of a rendering of logistics flows and accesses, in order to evaluate a proposed operational roadmap for the establishment of an in-house or participated company.
Requirements
The need arises from the current critical situation in terms of traffic and pollution caused by product deliveries in Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) for commercial activities located in the heart of the city.
Features
SINLOC is working alongside the Trade District of the Municipality of Udine to assess the technical and legal feasibility of a new city logistics system in Udine's restricted traffic zone (ZTL). It is responsible for analysing the applicable legislation and municipal regulations, supporting the Municipality in defining an organisational model for urban goods distribution, developing a governance scenario and a preliminary draft Economic and Financial Plan (PEF), and providing an operational roadmap for the establishment of an in-house or joint venture company.
Results
The feasibility study aims to investigate a new city logistics system in the Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) of the Municipality of Udine, with a view to reducing pollution, improving traffic management and ensuring more efficient distribution of goods.
