Support for the candidature of the "Man and Fauna" project within the "Sustainable Communities" call for proposals promoted by the Cariparma Foundation.
"Man and Wildlife: Knowing to Coexist" is a project of the Ente Parchi Emilia Occidentale that aims to promote the coexistence between people and wild animals. Through educational, training and dissemination activities aimed at schools, citizens, farmers, environmentalists and hunters, the initiative intends to reduce real and perceived conflicts, favouring a scientific and participatory approach, also thanks to the involvement of a network of institutional and local partners that guarantee a widespread and lasting impact.

Features

The initiative aims to build a shared knowledge base and practices for sustainable coexistence, improving people's well-being, biodiversity protection and social cohesion. Planned activities include: school didactics, training for technicians and journalists, public events, participatory paths, university courses and multimedia content. The project involves a wide and diversified network of partners: Province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna Region, Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park, environmental associations (WWF, Legambiente, LIPU), University of Parma, Confagricoltura and Distretto Bio Valley.
