Technical assistance within the framework of the WUHAO project (Wholesale Market and University to build Healthy & sustainable Agrifood) aimed at developing solidarity-based logistics models. The project, financed by PNRR resources and coordinated by the University of Foggia, aims to implement solutions for the redistribution of fruit and vegetable surpluses from the agri-food markets to needy families and to promote healthy and sustainable food. The activities of CibuSalus include the analysis of socio-technical barriers and the evaluation of the economic, social and environmental impact of interventions in the Parma, Andria and Sestu agri-food markets (the only one entirely private).
Requirements
The project WUHAO addresses the need to reduce food waste and improve economic and social sustainability in Italian wholesale markets by developing innovative solutions for solidary logistics and surplus redistribution.
Results
The initiative aims to implement logistics models for the redistribution of food surpluses and to develop a system for assessing social, economic, and environmental impact.
