NESOI Plus accelerates the energy transition in EU islands with innovative tools and new investments.
The European project NESOI Plus – New Energy Solutions Optimised for Island Outermost Regions project officially kicked off with an international meeting organised in Venice. The project is funded by the LIFE-CET 2024 programme with a budget of over €1.7 million and a duration of three years. The initiative aims to accelerate the energy transition in the islands of the EU’s outermost regions (particularly Macaronesia and Martinique), overcoming the geographical and structural barriers that hinder the development of sustainable solutions.
Sinloc is the coordinator of the project, confirming its own role as a14> reference in technical assistance for plans for energy transition, matured through experience in insular contexts and peripheral communities. The project promotes the creation of local energy communities, providing technical support, business models and capacity building activities.
